Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer – Building / Infrastructure –Great Yarmouth
Opportunity to join one of the UK's most successful Tier 1 building & civil engineering main contractors, with a very stable and fast growing forward order book.
Located in Great Yarmouth, be part of a new project to construct a quayside facility for use by the offshore energy industry. It includes design and construct of a floating berth (pontoons, restraint piles, fixed bridges and articulating linkspans). Involving significant civils works including sheet piling, tubular piling, river works, land based works, earthworks and associated supporting infrastructure bringing together technical, logistical and ecological challenges.
Duties:
As Site Engineer, duties will include:
- Maintaining excellent and effective working relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors;
- Implementing company Construction's Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development etc. and acting as an exemplar of the Company culture and values;
- Implementing the Companies Business Management System;
- Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems;
- Supporting initiatives to deliver ongoing continuous improvement;
- Line management responsibilities, including the undertaking of annual appraisal and development for junior members of staff;
- Ensuring that the project works comply with the requirements of the contract specification and drawings etc. and maintaining appropriate records etc to confirm such compliance;
- Any other duties relevant to the role.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Site Engineer role you must meet the following criteria:
*Previous work in a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer / Section Engineer / Civil Engineer role.
*Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification
*Previous main contractor employment
*CSCS card
Remuneration:
The successful Site Engineer will receive:
-£30,000 - £42,500 Basic
