Opportunity to join one of the UK's leading tier 1 building contractors, with an in-house Mechanical and Electrical engineering division.
Job Info / Duties:
To co-ordinate all engineering functions and achieve a successful outcome technically, commercially to the clients’ requirements on the project.
- To comply with the company IPCD.
- To comply with the company Process Document.
- Technically vet all procurement packages.
- Co-ordinate the services for their proper integration into the building and liaise with other disciplines.
- Oversee the production of all drawings including plant and sub-contract layouts to ensure co-ordination.
- Provide support to the Project Surveyor on commercial matters.
- Undertake & manage all labour/direct material matters.
- The daily Management of all subcontractors and suppliers.
- Undertake a regular audit of the Productivity Scheme & ensure the same is completed with the Foreman/Site Manager.
- Issue labour targets ahead of the work activity on site.
- Regularly progress the site production report (PC07) on site with Foreman/Site Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of labour and material elements used in the pre-fabricated sections of the project.
- Manage technical and progress issues relating to Plant and Sub-Contractor elements using technical submission process (PD09).
- Provide support to the Site Manager on any installation matters.
- Maintain Procurement Schedule (PD07) Technical Submission (PD09), Drawing Registers (PD01, PD02, PD03)
- With the Site Manager carry out regular Sub-Contract Project Reviews to plan, progress and monitor installations.
- Support the Project Manager in all matters relating to the project and act as Project Manager in the absence of.
- Represent the company on any internal and external issues.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Electrical Project Engineer role you must meet the following criteria:
-Previous employment with a main contractor or M&E Subcontractor.
-Previous building services sector experience (New installations)
-Previous employment as an Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Project Coordinator, Electrical Project Co-ordinator, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Contracts Engineer or Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Project Manager or similar.
-Relevant industry qualification – HNC, HND or Degree etc.
Remuneration:
The successful Electrical Project Engineer will receive:
- £45k - £60k Basic (Dependent on experience)
- Car / Car allowance
