Bid Coordinator / Proposals Coordinator - Construction / Buildings – Leading Tier 1 Building Contractor 

Solihull / Birmingham / West Midlands + Hybrid working

Company:

Opportunity to join one of the UK’s busiest Tier 1 building main contractors.

This company are a very stable employer to join, working on several long term stable public sector frameworks, bidding for projects including Schools, Hospitals, MOD and MOJ.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand client tender documentation to develop and provide tender briefings.
  • Independently produce high quality and well-structured client focused submissions for PQQs and tenders (projects and frameworks).
  • Research and collate information for use as evidence.
  • Collating, developing and writing some technical answers
  • Producing organisation charts, CVs and other supporting documents
  • Checking that draft submissions adequately answer the questions and sourcing information to address omissions
  • Designing and preparing bid submission folders
  • Using online tendering and planning portals
  • Preparing post tender presentations
  • Developing and maintaining project case studies, site photographs and other like materials
  • Sourcing information, developing and managing databases
  • Liaising with other Interserve regions to obtain examples of best practice
  • Tracking market trends for presentation software and materials
  • Supporting the Business Development Manager in opportunity tracking
  • Undertaking market research
  • Inputting information to the Salesforce database
  • Supporting the Business Development team in the organisation of regional marketing events
  • Supporting the Business Development team in the production of regional marketing collateral including newsletters, brochures and display boards
  • Assisting the Management team in preparing monthly management reports

 

Requirements: 

To be considered for this Bid Coordinator / Proposals Coordinator vacancy you will likely have the following attributes:

- You Strive for High Quality and take pride in your work.
- Previous employment as a Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Proposals Manager, Proposals Co-ordinator, Proposals Engineer, Submissions Manager, Tender Writer, Bid Author or Bid Coordinator.
- Ideally Previous Main Contractor employment, alternatively candidates with previous employer with Subcontractors and Consultancies will also be considered.

- Ideally previously work on Building, Residential or Civils sector projects.

- Preferably degree qualified in a subject with a high focus on creating high quality written work

 - Excellent English language (vocabulary), grammar and communication skills

- Adaptable to deal with changing project requirements and deadlines

- Familiarity with Microsoft and other desktop publishing software packages

-Bid Writing experience would be an advantage but not essential.


Location:

Opportunity to work out of the Birmingham (North Solihull) office / split with some remote (home) working.

Based on a central business park with good road and rail commuter links.

The successful Bid Coordinator / Proposal Coordinator will receive:
