Opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join one of the UK's leading tier 1 building contractors, with an in-house Mechanical and Electrical engineering division.
Role:
To manage the Company's resources to achieve a successful outcome, Technically, Commercially, Safely and to the Client's Satisfaction on the project.
Duties:
As Mechanical Project Manager your duties will include:
- To manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD.
- To manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the Project Process Document.
- To manage the resources on the project on a day to day basis and to report any staff issues as appropriate.
- Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
- Identifying the clients requirements and ensure we deliver these requirements to the clients’ satisfaction.
- Representing the company on any internal or external issues.
- Preparing detailed plans and procedures to administer the project and ensure the project team are familiar with and follow these guidelines.
- Managing all project reporting is provided upstream and downstream on a timely manner.
- Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
- Communicate with the project team regularly on project specific matters and company initiatives.
- To manage the project cash flow is positive throughout the life of the project.
- To manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
- Identify all risks and manage actions and implementation to mitigate such risks.
- Issuing Health & Safety MDI – Drawing Schedule (PD01) report. Monthly Project Review report and monthly Project Manager report.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Mechanical Project Manager role you must meet the following criteria:
- Knowledge of the Building Sector.
-Previous Building Services / M&E sector experience, for a sub contractor or main contractor.
- Previous employment as a Contracts Manager, Construction Manager, Build Manager, Senior Site Manager, Project Manager or equivalent.
-Previous experience on building sector projects such as Education, health, MOD, MOJ, Commercial, Student Accommodation, PRS or Hotels.
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
-Experience of managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to programme.
-Ability to interpret the requirements of the specification
-Experience of managing procurement, labour and sub-contractors.
-Experience of stakeholder engagement and management
-Experience of controlling contract costs and variations.
-Experience of co-ordinating M&E Services installations
-Experience of managing contract values ranging from £2m and above
-CSCS card.
-SMSTS - desirable
Remuneration:
The successful Mechanical Project Manager will receive:
*£65,000 - £70,000 Basic (Dependent on experience)
