Senior / Health & Safety Manager - Construction / Building Projects – Leading Tier 1 Building Main Contractor

 

Location: Covering multi-million pound projects in the North West / Yorkshire / North East regions. Usually 2 – 4 projects concurrently.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Health and Safety Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

- Knowledge of Building / construction sector.  
- Previous employment as a Health & Safety Manager, Health & Safety Coordinator, Health and Safety Advisor, SHE Manager, HSE Manager, H&S Assistant or similar.
- Previous experience on building sector projects.
- NEBOSH Certificate. 
- Construction site safety knowledge and experience. 
- Previous Main Contractor employment.
- High level of communication skills.

Role:

This position will involve a mixture of site monitoring and contribution towards strategic improvement in Health and Safety systems. The successful candidate will be expected to visit allocated sites to conduct surveillance Health and Safety inspections and to participate in forwarding planning of operations. 
Provision of specialist advice will require a thorough working knowledge of legislation/industry working practices relating to construction projects. In providing advice to site teams the individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding of what industry best practice looks like.

Other duties will include:
Visit a wide variety of live construction projects.
Ability to combine site safety tours with proactive advice and planning to site teams
