A career in animation could be for you!!

Firstly, what is an animator?

An animator brings images to life, either drawn by an artist or sometimes by themselves, an animators job is to introduce motion to the image to make it lifelike, sounds easy right?

You may be surprised to know that animation is a long process and often requires long hours, shift work and weekends, however if you have the passion and dedication, this should not put you off one bit, as the end result is very rewarding.

Animation can sometimes be a fast-paced environment, however many animators find this only adds to their drive and determination, and work well under the pressure.

As well of course as the stressful elements of this job, there are however a lot of benefits of being an animator, for example….

Being paid to express your own creativity and artistic flair
The choice of many different settings to work in, because animation is literally everywhere, examples include games, film and TV industries, advertising, website creation, even some military jobs require animation.
The choice of being employed by a company or working freelance yourself.
The sense of reward upon finishing a project and seeing it come to life.

Having weighed up the pros and cons of a career in animation, should you decide it sounds like something you may be interested in then there are different study options available at universities UK wide.
